The SolarChill Project aims to provide solutions to the challenge of providing affordable and environmentally safe refrigeration for the maintenance of vaccines and medicines and the preservation of food in parts of the world that have no electricity or have unreliable supplies of electricity. Currently kerosene, propane and to far lesser extent, solar powered refrigerators are used in these regions.
