At Vestfrost we concentrate on what we are good at. For more than 40 years, we have been focusing on developing, manufacturing, supplying and servicing refrigeration and freezer solutions. During this period more than 12 million units have satisfied users around the world.
For purposes of vital vaccine storage Vestfrost already back in 1985 started development of Ice Lined Refrigerators and Ice Pack/Vaccine Freezers in co-operation with WHO and Unicef. Since then hundreds of thousands have been supplied, mainly to countries with tropical climates and unstable power supply. Today Vestfrost has 7 different sizes of WHO approved models in this particular range. Vestfrost is ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified as well.
Due to this long relationship and experience achieved in this area Vestfrost found it natural to be part of the SolarChill project. Now Vestfrost, as the manufacturer, has produced the first 10 prototypes of the SolarChill Appliance for the field test purpose. By doing this we have been able to add further details and experience to our knowledge within vaccine storage. Vestfrost indeed finds the project very interesting and is being prepared for the next phase.
